Food Scene
Our recommended coffee shops, restaurants, and bar/grills in the Stone Lake/Hayward area.
The Whistle Punk
The Whistle Punk is a great coffee shop right in Stone Lake. They also have craft beers on tap and a small food menu too. If you feel like making coffee at the cabin, grab a bag to go. They sell Duluth whole bean coffee, however they will grind it for you! Get the Huila Columbian Washed. Highly recommend.
Pine Ridge Restaurant
Great food. One of our favorites. Pine Ridge is open at 4pm, Thursdays thru Sundays. During the Summer months, I would recommend getting there right at 4pm to get your name in for a table. They're busy for a reason. For desert, get the bread pudding!
Red Schoolhouse Wines
One of the neatest places to visit in Stone Lake. Not just a wine bar. Red Schoolhouse Wines has food too. Lot's of events throughout the year (live music, bingo nights, etc.). Awesome outdoor seating area during the Summer months. The bar inside is really neat too. They also have a wine/gift shop. If you like the wine you drank during your visit, you can go into the wine shop and buy it by the bottle.
Tamarack Farms Winery
This place has it all -- from wine, pizza, to barbecue. Tamarack Farms is owned by "Famous Dave" himself and if you're lucky, you might just run into him while you're there. Awesome outdoor dining area too. Highly recommend getting the Farm Pizza. It's the best pizza I've ever had.
Coop's Pizza
Coop's Pizza is an awesome place to take the whole family. Great pizza, salad bar, outdoor seating, and an arcade too. They also have a freezer next to the front door full of pre-made frozen pizza.
Round Man Brewing Co.
Round Man Brewing Co. will not disappoint. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks too. Try the Firebox Old Fashioned while you're there (it's a drink).
